The closer you get, the more pressure you feel.
I was awakened at 3am this morning and summoned to my prayer closet. Throughout my prayer, I felt what I can only describe as pressure and fatigue. At first, it was quite annoying, but the Lord reassured me that the pressure and fatigue I was feeling wasn’t bad, but a sign of crossing over and to press in.
It can be tempting to stop whenever we’re met with resistance or opposition. However, that is the time to press in and finish what you started!
I usually don’t struggle with praying, but this morning was a fight to the finish.
After I prayed and stilled myself before the Lord to hear what He had to say, the Lord showed me a baby’s head crowning during childbirth and said, “don’t be alarmed by the pressure, your baby is crowning. The head is out, now push the rest of the body out.”
It took me back the to the memory of birthing my own 5 children. I researched what exactly happens when a baby’s head crowns and the word “pressure” was explained as the intense sensation/pain (ring of fire) felt in the perineum as the widest part of baby's head emerges and becomes visible.
Do you see where I’m going with this?
The hardest part is over! You made it through your water breaking. You made it through the contractions and the pain. You survived the tests and the trials.
The pressure you’re feeling is the stretching that is necessary for you to deliver the rest of your baby!
Don’t get it confused, the pressure you’re experiencing is not a sign to stop, but a sign to proceed until you give birth and deliver the dream, vision, promise, purpose, and destiny the Lord has placed on the inside of you!
The Spirit of the Lord is saying, “do not be anxious, do not fear. You are crossing over into new dimensions and levels of your purpose and destiny. Do not fear, only believe and stand! Do not give up. Press into My promises. Trust Me! Believe only and see My salvation! Your Spirit is sensing fulfillment, the culmination of what has been spoken. Just as you felt pressure during childbirth when the baby’s head was crowning, so are you feeling the pressure of My promises crowning and coming to fulfillment.”
I say to you today, “Your baby’s head is crowning and birth is imminent (Isaiah 66:7; John 16:21)! Now press until you bring forth what you’ve been carrying!
